Daniel comforts Melanie after losing the baby. He tells her to rest, she needs to take care of herself. He then finds Nathan and Phillip bickering about Melanie. Later, Daniel signs the legal custody of Parker over to Phillip. Chloe wants to keep Parker as the baby's name. Daniel struggles with that decision, but solemnly says OK. He leaves the hospital and goes to see Jennifer. He updates her on the custody. She realizes how much he is hurting and hugs him. Abigail enters the room just in time to catch her Mom hugging Daniel.
