Daniel tells Sami and Rafe that his MRI does not show any sign of a head trauma. Rafe tells Sami he is healed. Sami pulls Daniel aside and they talk. She is concerned because of Rafe's bizarre behavior. She wants to find something in this Rafe that gives her hope that he will go back to his old self. Daniel suggests she help him, but in a way that is not confrontational. Sami has an idea.
