Daniel has come out of surgery. Carly is with him. He is desperate to reach Chloe, but she is not answering her phone. Carly gives Daniel a sedative so he can rest. She will send Chloe a text.
Chloe is with Phillip. They are both consoling each other about their "lost loves". They are both drinking. Phillip kisses Chloe. Chloe kisses Phillip back. They make love.
When Chloe finally checks her phone., she finds out Daniel really was in the hospital. She rushes to see him. Guilt overcomes her as she sees Daniel awakening in the hospital bed.
