Daniel goes to the hospital to check on Melanie. But it is different this time. He goes to check on her as a father. Melanie is sleeping. Daniel looks at her and touches his finger to the indent on her chin. He then touches the indent on his chin. He softly says "my daughter". He touches her hand, but when she begins to stir, he quickly removes it. Melanie can see there is something wrong. She thinks Daniel is going to tell her the test came back bad and she is going to die. Daniel reassures her. He starts to tell her that he is her father, but he thinks better of it and tells her he will come back later to talk. Melanie tells him how nice it is to now have a family. Daniel tells Melanie to rest. He gets a text. It is Carly.
Daniel meets Carly at the Brady Pub. She asks him if he told Melanie. Daniel says no. Carly starts to make excuses for what happened. Daniel has had enough. He blasts Carly for what she has done to Melanie. Before he storms off , he tells Carly what she has done is unforgivable and that she does not deserve Melanie and she does not deserve friends.
