     At the pier, Daniel has just been told by Carly that Melanie is his daughter. He is stunned by the news. He and Rebecca spent time with Carly and she knew she was pregnant. Daniel is disappointed in Carly. He thought they had the kind of friendship where they could tell each other anything. Carly is sorry. She did not tell him because Lawrence would have had him killed as well as Melanie. Carly hopes that this does not ruin their friendship.  Daniel is livid. He walks away to go check on Melanie, his new found daughter, at the hospital.
