Lexie tells Daniel to stop working on Maggie. They have done all they could. She calls the time of death. Daniel turns away in disgust. But then, they hear a faint signal from the life support machine and Daniel returns to the operating table. He charges the paddles and Maggie responds. He later talks to the family. He tells them that Maggie is alive but in a medically induced coma. Chances of her coming out of it are slim. Jennifer wraps her arms around Daniel. They agree they want to be together. They go back to Jennifer's home to spend the night.
