Daniel is Melanie at the hospital. He has just broken the news to her that he is her father. Melanie has a hard time grasping what he said. She is angry and she tells him to go . Then she calls him back, realizing she can not fault him for not knowing either. Melanie is curious about what happened. Daniel tells her it was only the one night and they were both lonely. Melanie is outraged that she was deprived of knowing her real father for so many years. Daniel tells her they need to just move forward. He wants to get to know her. He wants to protect her.
Later, Daniel meets with Chloe. Carly is with her and Daniel asks if there is a problem. Carly wants to know how his meeting with Melanie went. Daniel refuses to share information and Carly leaves. Daniel is concerned about Chloe. After all she has been through, he wants to know how she is feeling about Melanie being his daughter. Chloe is emotional and Daniel holds her in his arms.
