Daniel is with Carly. He is still annoyed at all the lies she has told and all the secrets she has kept about Melanie. He worries that Bo's interrogation is going to upset Melanie. Daniel tells Carly they share a child and they need to do whatever than can to protect her. Carly makes a remark that Daniel has been a dad for a day and already he is good at it. Sadly, Daniel sits down and says he as been a dad for 20 years. Carly tries again to apologize. Daniel tells her she should stop apologizing and whining and to try to keep her mouth shut.
Daniel walks into Melanie's room. He overhears Bo berating Melanie. She tells Daniel she wants Bo to leave. Bo pulls Daniel aside. He tells her that he cannot keep the police watch on the Kirakis mansion forever. Somebody needs to talk to Melanie.
When Bo leaves, Daniel sits down to talk with Melanie. It is hard for him to break this news. Tears well up in Daniel's eyes as he finally tells Melanie that he is her father.
