At the Kiriakis mansion, Daniel is meeting with Victor. Victor asks how Melanie is. Daniel tells him that she is making a remarkable recovery. Daniel broaches the subject to Victor about his connection with Melanie. Victor jumps to a conclusion that Daniel has slept with Melanie. Daniel interrupts him and tells him that she is his daughter. Victor is stunned. He cracks several jokes before getting serious. Daniel tells him he has no idea how to raise a daughter who is already an adult. Victor tells him he has come to the right place for advice. Victor reminds Daniel that both Bo and his daughter were adults when he learned of them. Daniel needs to cherish every moment now that he has with Melanie.
Later, Daniel meets with Chloe. She has just visited Nicole in prison. Daniel listens to Chloe's account of the visit. Chloe thinks she has just reminded Daniel of where Carly could end up. Was that what he was thinking? Daniel sidesteps the issue and tells Chloe that he is only interested in her and planning their wedding.
