Daniel is at the hospital. He goes into Melanie's room to give her some good news. Max is home from London visiting with her. Daniel tells Melanie she is free to go home. Melanie is excited. Daniel leaves to process the paperwork for her release. Later, Daniel returns to Melanie's room. She wants a chance to get to know him better. Daniel thinks that is a good idea. Melanie asks him for one thing, that they don't bring up Carly Manning. Daniel can't do that. She is the mother of his child. He won't ignore that. Daniel leaves so Melanie can get dressed to go home. At the nurses station, Daniel takes a call from Justin. He finds out Carly is going to plead guilty to trying to shooting Melanie. Daniel informs Melanie of the decision. He tells her that she is the only one who can do anything about it.
